Where to get trade-in deals
If Apple’s prices for the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are too steep, you can trade in your old handset for a discount.
KRCS has a new trade-in programme that lets you save on the new iPhone 13 phones. Purchases also include a 2-year warranty.
You can also get trade-in discounts from most contract providers such as EE, O2, Vodafone, and Virgin.
Trade in directly with Apple
Apart from the trade-in deals from contract providers, Apple itself accepts handsets as old as the iPhone 6s and is offering anywhere from £35/US$110 to £610/$790 off the iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max with trade-in. Head to Apple to see if your phone is eligible.
While UK customers can only trade-in iPhone devices only, US customers can trade in Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to Note 20, S8 to S20+, Google Pixel 3a to Pixel 5, and LG G8 ThinQ, LG V40 ThinQ to LGV60 ThinQ 5G phones too.
You should receive the iPhone 13 handset within 14 days if your old handset meets all the trade-in conditions.
If you’re eligible for the trade-in discount, Apple will either refund you the difference if you’ve paid in full or slash the price on your monthly payments if you’ve chosen to spread the cost.
In the US, Apple’s trade-in offer also applies when you buy the Pro model phones on contract directly from Apple.
With AT&T or Verizon, you’ll need to trade-in directly via Apple online or in store. If you opt for T-Mobile/Sprint, you’ll need to change your plan to Magenta Max to get the trade-in amount reduced off your bill. If you opt for a different plan, you can qualify for a $200 credit.
Head to Apple US to see its trade-in deals for the iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max.
About the iPhone 13 Pro & 13 Pro Max
Apple released its iPhone 13 range on 24 September 2021, ushering in a fresh generation of its 5G flagship phones.
The new handsets, which run on the upgraded A15 Bionic chip, offer Super Retina XDR display that are not only 28% brighter but also more power-efficient. They’re also up to 50% faster than competing phones, according to Apple, and offer stronger battery life.
Unlike the standard iPhone 13 and 13 mini, the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max offer adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz along with new camera lenses with larger aperture sizes. You also get a nice upgrade on the optical zoom, but goes up to 6x now (compared to the iPhone 12’s 4x).
Another key difference between the standard iPhone 13 and 13 Pro/Pro Max models is the inclusion of 5 GPU cores on the A15 Bionic chip instead of four, so you can expect incredibly fast graphics too.
We’ve compared the iPhone 13 to the 13 Pro in this article.
